  • And the second step you have to do to run this project is to drill or cut any needed holes that should be made in the plywood for sinks or other fixtures.
  • And then, the next way you have to do to complete this work is to remove any current countertops, then the plywood should be placed over the cabinets. After that, it should be attached to the cabinets  You can attach them by fastening the screws into the corner brackets from underneath. And then, getting short enough screws should be ensured, so the screws will not go through the plywood.
  • And then, the next important step that has to be completed is a layer of plastic moisture barrier that has to be added over the plywood. And you have to remember that this should be stapled in place.
  • And the next step that has to be done is the cement board should be cut and you have to remember that it has to be overlaid on the plywood. And then, a ¼ inch gap should be left to the edge of the plywood and also 1/8 inch gap should be left between the sheets of cement board.
